Teaching our dogs to complete the weave poles in agility is one of the more tricky elements to be taught in agility.
This one has stumped Samantha a bit so we have called in reinforcements. Astrid Smith of A Dog's Journey is graciously granting us two weekend workshops in order to help us master this skill. These 2 hour long workshops will start from the bottom up and have us all well on our weaving way. |
Weave poles are a dog agility obstacle where a dog weaves through a set of poles in a zig-zag pattern.
They are set between 18 and 24” apart from each other, in sets of between five and twelve poles, depending on the governing organization. The dog must enter from the right side of the first pole, and continue weaving all the way to the end. |
