"Montessori School for dogs?!!"
Yep you read that right. Active K9 is the proud home of the one and only Montessori Dog School.
This program came alive out of a combination of necessity, inspiration and dog training know how. In Samantha's early years of training clients it became quite apparent that most dogs could benefit from a good bit of schooling and exercise outside of what their families could provide.
Doggy Daycare seemed to be a wonderful solution for the busy family. It was a chance for the pooch to keep busy during the day and be a bit more relaxed when the time came for training with their people. What Samantha didn't know back in good ole 2005 is that her idea of daycare and the world's would differ greatly.
Approaching the idea from a dog trainers perspective had our program starting off with manners. First and foremost. There is nothing better than a well behaved dog, well except perhaps 20+ of them all behaving together.

Students enjoy a structured day with a variety of "classes". Starting off with some recess to burn off steam we then proceed to impulse control training, social etiquette, livestock appreciation, & confident body building. Just to name a few.
