Realizing that the world of canine rescue was missing an important element needed to reduce the growing over population of shelters & rescue organizations. Active K9 Rescue Foundation was conceived with the vision to fill the gap between rescues and forever loving homes. |
Dogs come to Active K9's Rescue program through various ways. We provide needed medical care, proper nutrition, and manners training to all the dogs that enter our rehabilitation program.
We at Active K9 have found where we can help best; by focusing on active, intelligent, and community friendly dogs. Unlike other rescues we treat dogs in our program like they are part of our family until they are ready for a forever home. We strive to put training first and foremost to create the perfect pooch! We are also currently working towards more nationalized rescue standards to help combat the many poorly run and harmful rescues that exist in the world. |
We are proud that our training classes provide education to help keep dogs out of the shelters. And by offering free to low cost classes to those who have adopted dogs we can help them understand their adopted dog and help decrease re-home rates.
With lots of hard work we have created a safe, dog friendly environment where dog owners can come learn, build a deeper bond and have fun with their dogs. The key to keeping dogs in their homes is to keep their owners involved. An owner who plays, trains and interacts regularly with their dog is a life long owner. |
Our goal is to create an environment where the community can have access to a complete professional dog training center. Our training center will provide both training and educational programs that will positively affect the community by reducing the shelter rebound rate. Educating the community on various canine topics creates balanced, healthy, well trained and obedient dogs for their owners and handlers.
