RAW DIET
While you may agree with the above statements, you understand and acknowledge that dogs are a carnivorous animals, but what now? We understand that a move to feeding raw isn't a simple decision. We also know that it is just not possible for all dog owners, however it is within the grasp of far more than you may think.

People often exclaim that feeding raw is more expensive, this isn't necessarily true. You may hear a vet proclaim that raw is dangerous, also something that isn't factual. More often than not the simple item holding dog owners back is change. Change from what "everyone" else is doing, change from what you are doing now. While change can indeed be scary without it there can be no progress.

Let us help you make immense progress towards an extremely healthy dog. We can ease your mind by dispelling the common myths with proven facts and first hand experience. Give us a call today to talk about the best change you can make for your dog.

Testimonials

Melissa & Walker
I spent 13 years with a dog that didn’t want to eat. I thought it was because Hank didn't want to eat that brand of kibble so I switched kibble and switched kibble and switched kibble, high-end food, low-end food vet-recommended food every thing I could find but no avail. Once I added Beneful wet food and mashed it together then most nights if I would scoop it into my hand  - he would eat some. 13 years of hand feeding. If I didn't hand feed him he wouldn't eat. For days. Every day I wonder how it would of been if I had known about a raw diet back then.

The day after Hank died there was a notice posted on the consumer affairs website regarding the many, many complaints that Beneful pet owners had seen their dogs become ill after eating this food. Their symptoms can include any of the following, sometimes more than one: vomiting, diarrhea, excessive water drinking, lethargy, weight loss, bloat, kidney failure, liver failure and death. that was exactly what happened. Just that exactly. I was devastated. I don't care that he was 13 years old, I can't help but think that had he eaten another diet, a raw diet, I could of had more time with him.

When our new pup, Walker,  came home I started researching. Once you read how kibble is produced and processed, you can't un-see, un-read or un-know those horrible things that go into processed kibble.  Luckily we found Sam, for training and for educating us about how a raw diet works. I feed my family whole, unprocessed foods, our dog is part of our family so why wouldn't we feed him whole unprocessed food as well?Walker has been a raw food eater for over a year now. He loves it, he loves to eat. that is my favorite part. I don't feel like I am forcing poison into him. His coat is shiny and he sheds very little, his eyes are clear with very little 'gunk'. I had to clean poor Hank's eyes every. single. day.

My vet said, no to the raw food diet. (The Hill brand prescription food he gave Hank was truly his death knell I think now). I have researched that as well and I can see that my dog is getting the nutrition he needs by the way he acts, his energy level, his coat and his eyes. I disagree with my vet on this point.

Feeding raw is very close in price to what it would be if we fed him a high-end pet kibble. Do I always feel like chopping chickens. no. but would I do this any other way. never. It is the best thing I can do for Walker and he deserves his guardians to make good, healthy choices for him.  No matter what happens, at least I know exactly what I fed him. He is thriving and I feel good about what I feed my WHOLE family.

My 10 month old Aussie male started getting diarrhea suddenly. None of my traditional stomach remedies helped him, so we went to the vet. We did a course of dewormer and antibiotics, and still nothing helped. This went on for almost a month, I was at my wits end with constantly cleaning him up and felt horrible that he was losing weight and there was nothing I could do to help him. A friend suggested I try raw. The first day he was on raw, the diarrhea stopped. He was actually able to stomach his food. He has continued to do fantastic on it, gained weight back and his coat is beautiful. My boy looks great and I'm so happy to have found something that works for him. We went back to the vet for his booster shots and the vet told me he looked great and whatever I was doing to keep it up because it was working. I'm definitely a believer in raw after this experience!
